A little French practice over the summer helps students keep the progress they worked so hard to build during the school year. Give your child an engaging program that keeps their skills sharp, entirely in French.
A 2-month online program for students in French Immersion, Extended French, and Core French programs in Ontario. Weekly written and oral activities, physical books included — all with a soft deadline so your child works at their own pace. Testimonials
What they are saying
Maria has been tutoring our son for the past four years during his French Extended studies, supporting him in subjects taught in French, including Geography and History in the extended program, as well as French language, reading, writing, and speaking. Thanks to her dedicated support, our son has consistently achieved very strong academic grades while developing his bilingual abilities in French.

I really enjoy the book club. The discussions start with the book analysis and sometimes move toward more philosophical reflections, which makes the conversations truly interesting. It's also a great way for me to keep practicing my French.

I always look forward to the monthly meetups hosted by Maria. She has a natural talent for leading our gatherings and making sure the conversations are always lively and stimulating. She knows how to put everyone at ease from the start, allowing each person to express themselves freely. You can tell she is always passionate and ready with questions about the book.

Meet Maria

I'm Maria — a C1-certified French tutor, lifelong francophile, and the founder of French Momentum Club.
My passion for French took me to France, where I lived and worked for several years. That full immersion brought me to a C1 certification — the level just below native fluency — and taught me a fundamental truth: building and maintaining a second language requires consistent engagement. Two months of summer silence is enough to erase months of progress.
For the past four years, I've led the Toronto French Book Club — a monthly gathering that confirms what the research shows: reading is one of the most effective and enjoyable ways to stay connected to a language. That insight is at the heart of French Momentum Club's philosophy.
I also work directly with students enrolled in Ontario's FSL programs. I understand their journey, their challenges, and what keeps them motivated. That hands-on experience shapes every aspect of the program.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
French Momentum Club was founded on a simple belief: no child should spend September relearning what they already knew in June. The program's goal is to maintain French proficiency, but its approach — rooted in reading, discovery, and enjoyment — is designed to foster a genuine love for the language, one that grows into a lifelong passion.
